Motivation Monday by Magda

Why not wake up in the morning and make it great day every day! Everywhere I go people ask me why I am so positive? It’s a choice. It’s my belief. If you choose to be this way, nothing can stop you. The truth is, I have a ritual that I’d like to share with you for free. No webinar, no video, no membership costs!

Wake up today and get your heart rate up for twenty minutes. The rate you are looking to achieve is between 115-120 beats per minute. Go old school and put your hand on your wrist and count for sixty seconds. The pulse should be in this range. Once you have achieved that rate maintain it for twenty minutes. Run through the neighborhood, make love to your committed partner (heart health is better when you have a loyal partner) chase your toddler, jump for joy- just maintain.

A study conducted in the University of Georgia concludes that if you exercise moderately, three times a week before your day begins, you mitigate daily stress and protect your mood from being disturbed. This type of exercise does more to boost thinking than thinking does! Just twenty minutes a day creates a mood enhancing effect which translates to a happier more positive YOU!

Everyone can do this. Like keeping positive, it’s a choice. I wish you only healthy choices. It’s never too late! This way, nothing can break your stride. Stride, I can’t believe I run marathons! Amazeballs!

feel my pain

According to runner’s world, everyday health, I have just joined a private club. Only 0.5% of the American population has run a marathon. I’ll bet a lot fewer of that American population have run a marathon the day after they ran a half marathon. I really didn’t see my decision to run these marathons (39.3 miles collectively) as anything more than joining someone I love in something he does for a living. I woke up! I can’t move. I’m in pain. Wow!
As I lay in bed thinking of the soreness throughout my body, I realized that it was not a decision to run at all! It was a decision to submit to a new way of life. It was a mind shift. The difference in making my body strong, stronger than ever was my trainer. He is the difference.
For approximately one year, I have been training at a very extreme level (nutrition, sleep schedules, exercise). I do not lift bars with compounded weights at the either side ever. I do not use drugs. I am so energetic every day. I can do anything I set myself up to do. It is 100% because of my training experience. I am unstoppable. I am healthy. It is freedom. It is a choice.
I am asked daily what I do to look and stay younger and stronger. My response is always the same. My trainer.
Health is wealth! I am very wealthy. I am so grateful for this newfound richness. I am alive because of it.
Life has a new zest. For God sakes, I am part of an elite club! I am now a marathoner. More people walk around with a titanium American Express Card. Haaa!
It is not by irony that I have done so much for myself and my son in the very same year I have been training with him. It is because internal strength becomes external too.
The pain I am in now is temporary, the rewards to this pain are exponential. I see those rewards reveal themselves daily. I am a better person because of this pain. I owe this betterment to my trainer.
I want to Shout it Out, call my trainer. I want this greatness to be an epidemic. I want you to feel my pain. It is amazing! Statistically, I burned 4,320 calories running this weekend, I gained a lifetime of wonderful.
