why do I blog?

I began to blog to promote clients solely. Approximately seventy three blogs ago, I set out to share the great and new and hella tight wonderful I encountered on a weekly basis. I chose Sundays to blog because they are the most peaceful days of the week for me. I usually cook, practice simple workouts and brace myself for a strong start to Monday. Mondays are my favorite day of the week. I don’t know how or when the blog, my blog, turned into my life online. It’s become almost like a journal entry. I am amazed when my experiences with what I consider “mad real” interest others. You guys have read my growth, my love, my loss and my happy! I am grateful. Cool beans! I have readers- stoked about that.

Market Miami opened this week. It’s more like a complete takeover on Sunset Drive. Women so powerful scare me. It’s no wonder Marilyn is a friend. I love strong and confident women. It’s inspiring. Please go visit the shop, it’s a tee and jeans kinda place.

I was intending on running streets with Chris this weekend and of course attempting the intimidating club bell but Soho House offered something more my style- animal flow on the beach.  I really am drawn to the instinctual movement. I remember the first time I attempted the beast walk. It was also on the beach. So simple are the movements and they can confound any mind.

April, Cat and I ommmmmed to The Cure this Weekend at H2Om. Cat really is the maverick yogi. She never stops reinventing the breath, the science. Candela loved us as we bent, inverted and laughed. April held my hand. I carried my body on my head and dreamed of black eyeliner and red lipstick moments. I felt the music. Yoga retreat for Goth girls, maybe??

I cooked for my little Linda together with Papa W this past Wednesday. I was so excited for her to be surprised and for him to give the surprise. I felt my hands shake, my heart beat faster and my smile grow larger as the time of arrival neared. I love family, it warms my heart. I swear I feel Jewish. We missed Charna and Sam and of course Ro!

My next Master Life Sesh will be new and innovative. A different venue, a different crowd. How cool is it to be a Coach? Deets next blog.

True Blood ends tonight-I am sad about that. I learned it in Harbour Island  last year. I will see the end with my Alcide. The only Alcide for me. I can’t wait.

For the most part, this week was fantastic. Happiness is a choice.

Golfed with the Master himself. Thank you Ro for persevering and loving your sport. Mad respect YoYo!

I walk around with a water proof camera now. I long for the next opportunity to snap pictures under the sea.

The Spin-a-thon at M Cycle is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. All the lights are on, the bells ringing and the real spinners are signing up. Al Lopez yelled his opinion out loud today in front of Larios. Let’s ryde for Diabetes. Let’s scream for Doctor Dribble! (he hates when I do that) I live out loud Doc. I’m ghetto, chusma- if you will. Panther Coffee, Boxed Water, Nutrabolics, Vita Coco and DJ Illmanik will be there! After this weeks tragedy of a fellow community member passing, this event couldn’t come at a better time. Life is short. Coming together to do something beautiful is needed and always welcomed in all communities. It is my privilege to be part of such a great event. Andrea you are the bomb for making it happen.

Darren and I teaching in the same class with  a veteran spin couple should be EPIC! Three Lopez’s and a Weissman. I love it!!

Lynette, you are the prettiest birthday girl ever. Bring me something from the Big Apple. I love you.

and if you don’t know, I blog for me,  (if you like it-SUPER)

any given sunday

Welcome Deanna to Studio LX, go Hurricanes! It’s all bout the U!

The Dolphins don’t make me cry. A new quiet confidence has taken over Tarpon Bend, the Ale House in Coral Gables and most of Miami. We are 2-0. I pray the Falcons be our third take down. The perfect season happened here first, Don Shula, Dan Marino 17-0, I’m a hopeful romantic. Why not? Other than the Marlins debacle, we are a city that has been lucky. Most winningest. Let the good times roll.

Considering most winningest, this week, I’ll be hanging with Uuuuuuuuuudonis and Battier. I’ll try to jump up and take a pic. The Chamber sure knows how to breathe life into me every time I open a corporation! Diamond Awards here we repeat. I hope. Thank you Mark, for always supporting me.

The Benjamin Dash packet pick up is October 31. Yep, Halloween! Boil, boil, toil and trouble, I can’t wait to dress up this year. Training is legit for this fundraising obstacle race as m*ergy is not only training the dash team but herself and Soy Delicious for the IronMan too. So fortunate to have shared an Ashram with her this week. Jugo Fresh coming to Body and Soul will ensure more of these moments Fo Sho!

Moments, fragments, Los momentos. This week, I received two very touching messages that I feel should be mentioned. Each message came from a woman that is going through a struggle. Neither one mentioned the struggle instead thanked me for helping them through theirs. I didn’t do much but be me and live my life. In doing this, simply living, without trying- I helped two women. Be it ever so tiny the act of letting me know, I was enormously humbled. You see, I am you. Struggling too. Stiff upper lip ladies, tomorrow is only a day away.

Providence is the next marathon for my man, Doctor Dribble. Today, he will be honored at the Dolphins/Falcons game for just being him. It’s 1:43pm now. Go figure?

Diabetes is a disease- be a hero and become part of the cure! Donate now!

Marlyne Alexander photography and the Free People slumber party was a success, #hippiechick was born. Next up, I’ll be armed with a cocked mic in your face. Health and Wellness is the real deal for the reel- sizzle me a new look, maybe? Stopsmokingstartliving is the final interview. I personally am going to see to it that the revolution, the movement of Kerry Gaynor is catapulted to each and every smoker I know or will know or sadly, might never get a chance to meet. Smoking kills.

Life is precious, live it and stretch long and hard. It’s the only way to make it into the circle of trust.

And if you don’t know, I have a friend in the FBI!

I don’t twerk, I work

Sweatlife is addicting. I am an addict. I replaced Marlboro Red at a pack and a half a day for a Real Ryde with m*ergy and now too, a Method created by a formidable golfer.

I have tried many ways to sweat, to get strong, to become empowered. All of them are effective. You take out what you put in. It’s immediate. It’s loyal and gratifying. If only love was so easy.

This weekend however, I tried something new. I drew blood from my assailant. I punched a six foot two inch man in the face. I have bruises all over my body. My manicure is in tact, thankfully. This experience is Self Defense instructed by my friend, (I hope still) Orestes Sampson. He gave a short (Ha!) seminar explaining why people attack, what happened to them, how they think, what provokes these incidents and then we got physical. Not Olivia Newton John physical more like MMA material. My favorite part of the seminar was when he said, ” in result, the biggest mistake an assailant will make is picking me as his victim”. The tone was set for the physical aspect of this class. I sweat like a pig, learned how to tenderize a mistaken attacker and make regret any fool who thinks I’m scared. I encourage all men, women and children to learn how to defend themselves. I highly recommend the Big O, be your choice for instructor on this topic. Thank you Orestes, I am stronger.

My Business Mag coming out in November will be featuring one of our blossoming clients, Soy Delicious. The article is about Hispanic Entrepeneurs. I hope they include the tiny fact that she is a Super Spartan and soon an IronMan. This month M2, send me Burberry candles or more Bond whatever suits you.

November will also be the month of the official launch of my life saver “stopmokingstartliving” x+ The Kerry Gaynor Method . I read on Instagram the other day about how a man couldn’t believe how you can quit smoking without medicine or crutches. I chuckled. He’s never sat in Kerry’s presence. I dare you.

So the Doctor did it again! He took Philly down like a great meal at Roaster’s and Toaster’s. His next race is in Providence, Rhode Island. How romantic?

Doctor Dribble is racing two of his future races (Chicago and New York) for Diabetes. I’m enclosing the link to donate on his behalf. One of my choice quotes is “You haven’t lived until you do something for someone that can’t pay you back.” It’s a no brainer! #g1ve #doctordribbletour for #Diabetes

Unique Me is coming out first week in October. The month of Halloween! Yay! I’m so excited for this year’s costume. It’s very appropriate. I’m keeping it classy.

New client Shout Out- B Force Bands! You mean, I can travel with functional training? Oh boy! Please show me how tho?

m*ergy is enforcing the tactical approach to the Benjamin Dash weekly in her training sessions at body & soul. Leader that leads and never misleads. Let’s raise money Mari, let’s get muddy sista, I need another frame in the m*ergy room.

This week includes Free People, a sizzle reel and CNN!!! More Yoga, it’s Yoga month. April is enthused- back off, back up it’s time to breathe victoriously….

Dolphin Season, winning!!! I got ring side seats, look for us on the field.

Congrats Big Vic and Lulu Brea!
If you don’t know, schedule self defense with O!!
